iPod 3rd Generation iPod Shuffle Controls

Does anyone know if the 3rd Gen iPod Shuffle can be controlled via a car stereo?

I have an 09 F150 and want to plug a 3G Shuffle into the Aux input. What I want to know is if it will be able to be controlled without the headphones and with the stereo...... ? :confused:
