I ran out and got an iPhone after the $200 drop. I WAS going to wait for 3G, but I figure that at this price, it was worth it.

Anyway, I know that you can install 3rd apps now, but I have been unable to find a definitive site with guides on how to do it (and which programs are the best, don't want to brick my iPhone a day after I got it), and a list of all the apps that are available. Is there any site that is good for that, or is it pretty much a mish-mash of information everywhere?

I believe there are some good threads in these forums about this very thing.

Sorry I haven't provided a link, but I'm sure you can use the forum search function as well as I can.

If you google ifuntastic and installer.app (two programs for customizing the phone) you should be able to find a lot of information on the subject as well.

If using windows use ibrickr....Great app or on the mac try app called breezy...Ibrickr is much easier to use...Good luck

Here is a link

http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr

go down a little and download current version of ibrickr if using windows...You have to download the PXL files first but just follow the instructions on the screen...Very easy...
Once you place the PXL files on the phone an application list comes up with all 3rd party apps for the iphone...Just choose the ones you want...Great for loading NES games also....

However to do the NES load NES on the phone
Go to the area on ibrickr that says files....1st creat a new folder and name it rom....within that folder name another folder rom and within that folder name another folder NES.
Now when you go back out to main screen of applications on ibrickr there will be an area that said download NES files...Thats it
