Hello people,

I have a 4,1->5,1 that has been working well with a gtx 1060 for the last few months until I turned it on today, when I could not get a signal out of either the DP or HDMI ports. GPU works on another machine. Other than that the computer boots normally, has chime, my usb card words, fans spin, no red diag lights, diag button works, and the gpu is getting power. Testing this with a GTX 650 and a GTS450 yields same results.

However, the GT120 that came with the computer will give me a video output and as such I have been able to confirm that the 1060 650 and 450 are being recognised by the pc when they are plugged into second pcie slot. Ram and cpu detected correctly. So the Mac works as per normal until today, except that I can’t get video from any card except the 120. As such, I am quite stumped to what may be causing the issue, as the only things have I have not replaced are the PSU and the backplane, however as I have stated the Mac is fine without a 3rd party gpu.

Other things I have done:
Replaced 2032 battery
Reseated ram
Reseated processor tray
Reset pram
Reset smc
Moved 6 pin cable to second socket
Moved gpu to different slot
Tested continuity on 6 pin cable
Eyeballed backplane for any obvious damage
Ordered a new pcie cable and will test when it arrives.

Fwiw, I do not use GOP as I run mainly ubuntu and have been too lazy to patch it lmao
