4.3 HDMI out?

I knew that the iPad 2 has HDMI out, but now I also see that HDMI out is listed on the list of 4.3 features on the front page here.

So my question is... Will HDMI out work on the iPad 1?

Also, will HDMI out work on the iPhone 4?

I would like to be able to stream Netflix from my iPad or iPhone to an HDTV. Anyone know if this is possible, or is that only for the iPad 2?

Then call Apple and ask. Or look up the tech specs online, I'm sure they're around.

Yes, it should work with iPad 1 and iPhone 4.

Mirroring supported only by iPad 2. Video out supports up to 1080p for iPad 2 and up to 720p for iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod touch (4th generation). Movies play at up to 720p.

Thank you for the links. Now I see that mirroring is only for iPad 2, and other supported devices only output app-specific video. So I do see that someone said this will work with Netflix on the iPad 1, but still no answer about the iPhone 4. I'll keep an eye on it - thanks again.
