4.4.2 Update?

My Nexus 7 2013 is going bonkers this morning. I usually keep my apps updated every few days but it looks like almost everyone is updating today. The download for 4.4.2 also came across but I will wait till all other apps are finished updating first.

Is this some sort of optimization for all these apps needing to be updated at the same time because of 4.4.2?

a lot of apps did get updated within the last week. I think it has more to do with 4.4 than 4.4.2

When did 4.4.2 come OTA for folks? I know usually people do not get it at the same time but maybe I just missed it or it was not my time yet. I do not recall reading any posts about this update recently.

late last week. Most got it the same day they announced it.

I got the 4.4.2 update the other day on my Nexus 4. (I'm in the UK)

i learned how to side load recently, its a lot faster. and all you have to do after going into recovery side load mode is type in adb side load in terminal and then drag in the zip for macs.

Got the OTA update immediately on first boot of my G Pad GPE about 30 min ago.

Not sure if Google is the same way, but apple freezes the app store for the holidays, so usually right before the deadline a lot of apps are updated because nothing will go through for a week.
