4.4.4 Bricked my AppleTV

Good evening.

I'll keep a long story short, but it appears that the 4.4.4 update has bricked my AppleTV. I never had problems with the "Connect to iTunes" request around 4.4.1, but now that seems to have come back to bite me as my ATV is demanding I connect it to iTunes after the 4.4.4 update.

Is there any way to fix this short of purchasing the micro USB cable and plugging it in?

It isn't bricked as long as it turns on. It's actually very hard to brick modern iOS based devices. To fix it, restore it via iTunes.

Did it actually update to 4.4.4? I just did one of mine, and the first upgrade didn't take, I had to do it again. Everything's fine.
