for every day use? i guess you won't be noticing that much of a difference really. 4 gb for everyday use it's perfect.

Define "everyday" because everyday I am using Aperture with Final Cut rendering, have Safari open with at least two tabs, firefox is downloading something, Mail, iTunes & Parallels are also open.

So yeah big time difference in "everyday" use mate.

If you can afford to do it, I would suggest putting it in.

I would install it and enjoy it, because as your computing needs grow it will be ready when you are.

4Gigs is Fine

I have a 4gb i7 and have been watching my resources. After one week of use, there have been no page swaps and 28% of the mem is unused. At this point, my normal usage wouldn't benefit from adding 4-gigs.
