400,000 in one day?

According to a macnn article analysts are predicting about 400,000 iPads to be delivered this weekend. If thats true it probably means in 1 day. Since most malls will be closed for Easter Sunday.

I was about to come here and argue with you about malls and stores being closed on Sunday the 4th. But you're exactly right. My local Apple store will be closed on Easter Sunday. That's quaint.

On the article, yeah. Forget the haters. This iPad launch will be huge. It took 74 days to sell a million iPhones in 2007. It will be a much shorter time period for iPad.

You are correct. I just checked the 16 Apple Stores in Florida. Of them, all will be closed but one. Lincoln Road, in Miami, will be open on Sunday.

I agree. Not only the launch, but the market uptake is likely to be pretty rampant too. Have you all noticed the user growth on this forum? Just a couple of months ago there wasn't much traffic here at all. And look now....

I would guess most stores that are in malls will be closed, as the majority of malls close on Easter. The ones that are outside of malls would be hit and miss.
