Hey everyone! I have recently bought the 40mm series 6 Apple Watch but I’m not sure whether it looks too small on my wrist and now contemplating getting the 44mm instead. I have a wrist of about 140mm, although might not be extremely accurate. I have took pictures with my dads old 42mm watch (green band) and the grey band is my new series 6 40mm watch. Please tell me what you guys think... whether the 40mm looks just the right size or if the 44mm would look good on my wrist? I feel that the 42mm is the perfect size for my wrist so I just don’t know what way to go for my wrist.

To me both size look good as you seem to have a flatter/wider wrist. 40 mm looks a tad better, but go with what you like more. Neither of them look odd so both will work.

40mm.
I’ve got a 155mm wrist and went with 40mm. But I know what you mean with respect to looking small.
The 44mm will certainly be more legible, and I suppose it depends on how you use your watch.

I have a small wrist and went with the 44mm.
I wouldn’t be concerned about how it looks; I’d be more concerned about the usability. I’m in my mid 40s and my eyes are not what they were, neither are they going to get better. I prefer the extra screen size.

No wrong answers though.

Not sure if this will work, but here goes: by no power invested in me, I give you permission to be satisfied with the 40mm.
In all seriousness though, the 40mm will suit you fine. The only real downside to the 40mm, IMO, is that the band selection is somewhat limited compared to the 44mm. The leather loop comes to mind, in this regard.

This is your watch, go with whatever makes you feel comfortable. No one is going to be staring at your watch anyway.

Try this test;

  • Put whatever watch you want on your wrist.
  • Walk up to someone and ask them how many mm it is.
  • If they don't know, then you're fine.
