42 SS w Stone Leather Loop

I haven't seen too many real world pics of this combo, so I'll throw in some.

Initially bought the brown leather loop, but started to not like the color as someone said it kinda looks like a shade of poo, and I couldn't get the description out of my head. After swapping for the stone, I'm very pleased. Before I purchased, I thought the color was too light, but after seeing it in person, it's a really pleasing tone and matches good with casual clothing. Button ups, plaids, denim, sweaters, etc.

Hope the pics, help any of those on the fence about this combo.

Its my favorite of the leather loop. I think it is a really nice color combo and given its hue and its overall light shade, it seems to go really well with basically all colors and types of clothing. Works with white, black, colors etc... Since ive had it i find myself having no desire for any other bands for now (already have a white and black sport band).

Oh wow that is awesome. I thought you had a watchface I could not find. Looks great though. I have the blue leather loop and I love it.

I have the stone too and it's my fav color out of them all. Black looks too generic, brown just didn't do it for me. The shade was off. The stone blends well with the stainless steel and goes with everything. Really an elegant look. I got rid of my Milanese for this. I have a black sport band as well so it's a good mix.

I just hope it doesn't get too dirty like the leather iPhone cases.

So I have the Stone Leather loop and I am certain it will change appearance a little as time goes on. However, before wearing it, I sprayed on 3 good coats of Kiwi Protect all and then the next day, sprayed one more coat. Let it soak in to the leather and don't blow it dry.

I have two leather iPhone 6 plus cases. I sprayed protect all on one and not the other. The difference between the two is stark after 7 months of use (I use both pretty equally).

For the LL, it feels just as comfortable as the untreated leather and I am certain will hold up incredibly well. Washing dishes I could see the water roll off. It wipes down very easy as well. I plan on spraying a coat once every month or so from here on out.

I have to completely agree. I've had the stone for a few days and I am loving the thing to pieces. It is lightweight, super comfortable, and this whole creaking thing is subsiding more and more.

I was very skeptic that this band would be worth $150, but given the level of quality, the engineering of it as a band, how comfortable it is, and how awesome it looks, I have to say that I think it is worth the price. Even more so worth it if this is a daily band for you.

I am still curious to see what the wear of this leather will be like in a month or two (I did treat it). Also curious to see if some third party knock-off can come close to matching the quality for 1/3 of the price, but I seriously doubt it.

You are not helping me, I refuse to spend $150 for watch band, but your high praise is pushing me that way. Dying to get a black one for my Space Gray Sport. Tried one on during a fitting in April and absolutely loved it.

I find it to be worth the investment honestly. I've seen plenty 3rd party bands I like, but none that I think are anything terribly great.

Yeah seriously, really loving the band but hopefully its durability pays off. I'm going to treat it also with kiwi, as recommended.

From what I have seen, try to do it before wearing it much. The kiwi works by absorbing into the top layers and applying something similar to an oleophobic coating. It binds well to fresh material, but if worn to much, oils and dirt from the skin can decrease the effectiveness of the product.

Try the following at your own risk! (Not terribly risky, but if not done gently.....well......you're warned):

If you do wear it, what I would recommend doing is taking a lint free cloth, apply the smallest amount of hand soap possible to the rag, run it under water, mix into cloth by rubbing while under water, and dilute it so its barely on there. Wring it out so most all of the water is out. The rag should be lightly damp and you can barely tell there is soap.

Then lightly rub down the exterior of the band without pressing hard. The idea is to try and remove some of the light surface oils from the band without penetrating the exterior layer of leather and to prevent the oils from mixing with excess moisture and then soaking further into the band rather than be removed from the surface. Lightly blow over the band to facilitate moisture evaporation as you work.

Let sit and dry for a few minutes and lightly blow over the surface to help dry. Rub and buff down with a dry, non abrasive micro-fiber cloth.

After dry, apply the treatment to maximize surface protection.

Seems like a lot, but after doing this with my second leather iPhone case......lets just say it is worth the effort.

Hey I just picked up the kiwi protect from Walgreens and seems to work great so far. Applied 4 coats lol. Paid for with Applepay of course.
