i knew they had dropped the price down to $449, is the $349 price a realitive new price drop? Wonder if they’re phasing them out since there is no 44mm option.

Apple reduced the prices of the stainless steel link Bands by a $100.00 after the September 12 keynote. Most were not aware of this, as there is a section on their website to ‘Explore previous Apple Watch bands from past seasons’.

I don't know if this changed recently, but all the stainless bands are part of the current collection.

If you go to the section that says "Explore bands from previous seasons," there are no stainless options besides Milanese.

On the mobile application, it has not changed. If you scroll down to the Apple Watch bands, there is a tab for ‘Explore watch bands from previous seasons’, and that is where you will find the link bands, which seemingly most were not aware of.

Interesting.
Apple needs to sync their stores across platforms then.

On the web they list the current stainless bands as:
https://www.apple.com/shop/watch/bands
Milanese Loop
Gold Milanese Loop
Black Milanese Loop
Space Black Link Bracelet
Link Bracelet

The Milanese are sold in 40mm and 44mm sizes, but the link bands are sold in 38 and 42.

The stainless bands "from previous seasons" on the web are:
https://www.apple.com/shop/watch/series-3-bands
Milanese Loop
Black Milanese Loop

In this case, the previous Milanese bands are different product pages from the current bands, and come in 38mm and 42mm. I suspect these are the models that don't open all the way like the newer ones do.
