$ 499 Mac mini base at Fry's

Nice, forwarded it to my coworker whose mother needs a new computer. I'd be really tempted if the unit with the discrete GPU was also $100 off...
 
Great find... Too bad I ordered my Mini 2 days ago :mad:. I ordered the 2.5Ghz but if I knew I could have saved this much I would have been fine with the 2.3ghz model.
 
Dammit. I ordered from amazon 3 days ago. With the discount and my discover card points it was $522
 
I have this system in use as my home server. I did the 8g ram upgrade and its a tremendous system. Its very stable and fast enough that I use it for all my HD video encodes.
 
Going to try to talk my folk's into this. They have an aging MacBook and the screen is going out. They already have an iPad for the portability but they need something to replace the MacBook at the desk.
 
Wow, and i was there but didnt even bother to look at the apple section. for 500, that isnt too bad considering its an apple product you are purchasing.
 
Thank god I didn't cancel the amazon order for this.....it's only available for instore pickup and there are no frys in ma.

Most of the Fry Apple deals are in-store only. I pretty much ignore all Fry's deals since there isn't one near me.
 
Nice deal. At $499 the Mini is a great value compared to other similar machines running windows.
