I have 4GB of "other" on my phone. I'm jailbroken on 7.0.6 on my 5S. I'd like to remove some/most/all of this. Are there any programs I can use to do this? Would iFile or something similar help? Is part of the 4GB an iOS update, like 7.1 or something?

How can I reclaim my space?

It's usually items you've added. Any torrent tweaks? Any safari downloading tweaks?

Transferred any files into your device?

Had the same issue on my iPad Air. Had about 10 gb of "other" data. I used a software(away from computer now so I can't recall the name) and it somewhat helped. Only cleared about 3 gb of it. I used icleaner as well and still not much. Try digging around in iFile(only if you know what you're doing) and look for files you've downloaded or torrents that you don't need.

Sometimes tweaks leave behind files even after you uninstall them. Unfortunately for me I still have a good amount of storage taken by "other" and the only real way to clear it is to restore or try running iLex rat full restore

I have not used disk pie yet but it seems to be a solid tweak to find out what the "other" data might be

OP do send a lot of pictures in your text messages? That could be a big portion of it. Download iCleaner, turn on "message attachments", hit analyze and see what you get. After looking through analyze, hit clean and it will clean everything you saw in analyze.

This is a reddit post that I found a while ago that really helps. I believe there is a newer version for iOS7 but this still is a pretty good read:

In iOS 7, that's categorized under messages in the settings -> general -> usage tab

But not sure if iTunes reads that as "other"

Thanks for the suggestions, all. I've tried some of them and have gotten down to 3.6GB in other. Is there a way to tell if iOS is storing an update on my phone (that I obviously don't want)? Is there a way to get rid of said update if there is one?

You might not be able to get it any lower than that. I have 3GB of other on my air and almost 5 on my Mini. I use iCleaner on both and it seems to prevent the space from getting bigger.

iCleaner Pro just updated yesterday on their beta repo (exile90software.com/cydia/beta/) and now includes OTA update cleaning.

It works!
As 'clean' as my iPhone was it took off an additional 8,000++ when I updated to this new iCleaner.

Should work for you too.

I couldn't find iCleaner Pro on any of the repos I have. I think iCleaner is on Big Boss, but a search for Pro (and a look at "other apps by this developer") turned up nothing. Where can I find Pro? How much is it? Thanks!

EDIT: I'm an idiot who can't read apparently. :)

I have icleanerpro but haven't had a update for a while my version is 7.1.3-4 what's yours?

You need the beta repo (above) for all the added features.
The new iCleanerPro is rich in improvements.

(You don't even need to delete the 'old' tweak as once the beta repo is installed you will receive an update via Cydia for the tweak itself.)
