G.Skill is an off and on brand, well known in the computer world but not exactly what one would call the best. I'd stick with the better brands, Micron, OCZ, GEiL, Mushkin, and so on.
Crucial or Mushkin or go home.![]()
Frys has OCZ 4Gigs PC5400 for $80 after $25 rebate going on right now i believe
Crucial is Micron. OWC has the same thing for $109.00 right now, not sure what Crucial is charging.
EDIT: Crucial wants $159.99 for the same exact memory modules that OWC wants $109 for, hmmm what to go with?
A reseller of crucial memory? I bought 4GB of Crucial 3 weeks ago for 99.98 shipped.
hrmm what to go with?
P.S Yes I know Crucial "is" Micron. None the less nobody calls it Micron Memory.
4GB for $69.99 OCZ.

Awesome deal if you hope you're going to get the money back from the rebate, I've stopped doing those rebate offers a long time ago, after I lost out from a dozen of rebates from various companies and they wouldn't do jack about it, like the $100 that Samsung owed me for an LCD
I really have to wonder why Apple is charging a Kings ransom for Ram? It can't be much better.
i dont get it why apple charges that much are they gold plated and encrusted with dimonds or what ?
I just bought two of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820208323
BTW those are Micron chips (same chips that Crucial uses) Oh and pay with PayPal, you'll get 20% money back by January 1st 2008.

Just a guess, but I'd expect module-makers like Transcend to use whateverNot that I don't believe you, but is there *proof* that it is really Micron memory?
I googled around but couldn't find anything....
Oh, and where is the info that if you use Paypal you will get 20% off?
