So where have you guys found good deals on the 2x2Gb RAM? I'm *this close* to getting a blackbook and I want to upgrade right away. Thanks for the help!
Awesome -thanks guys but one question: Could I just buy 2 of the 2Gb sticks, it's cheaper that way for some reason. There's some listed as $134.99 for the 4Gb (2x2) or one single 2Gb stick for $58.99 x 2 = $117.98 and there's a free 1Gb USB key included. Not half bad...
Umm did you read the description??? "2GB PC2-5300 667MHZ 200-Pin SODIMM DDR2" Yes it is compatible...Hi, I am wondering if anyone bought this ram from buy.com for their macbook? i am not sure if this is compatible, can anybody confirm?
Thank you.

Yes, that was the point of my post above. Apple doesn't use some 'special' RAM... That is for the NEW Santa Rosa MBP's, although the older ones it should be fine too even though IIRC it is 533Mhz.Quick question to anybody..
Are all 667MHZ 200-Pin SODIMM DDR2 Ram compatible with Macbook Pro's?

Yes, but can you confirm that all 667 MHz SDRAM will work with all Intel iMacs and MacBooks, regardless of whether it is listed as "Mac compatible"?All intel Macs are specced for 667 MHz
Transcend's own online store has their ram for cheaper than newegg ($59.90 each + shipping):

And it's micron chips...
I just ordered 2 x 2GB, should get here in a few days![]()
