Hi,

I am considering a mac mini and a 4k screen.
Would the 30hz be OK to edit HD (1080) movies in iMovie or will the low refresh rate create issue?

you wont' have any luck editing a movie using today's technology. Instead, I encourage you to buy 3 year old technology. Even though it is slower, it will seem faster because you'll know you're sticking it to the man for taking away user upgradability, which is what computing is really all about at the end of the day.

Thanks for the reply. I do understand that a lot of person are disappointed by the mini refresh. Nonetheless, in Belgium they sell almost nothing refurbished, so a 2012 mini will not work for me.

My question is that I am wondering if iMovie would suffer stuttering when working with a mini (2014) and a 4K screen at 30hz
