I will use my MP7,1 "only" for DAW/music production (I will run movies on it as well for what I write music).
I need a "nice" 4K monitor for this purpose for a reasonable budget.

Any recommendation is very much welcome.

Sorry for not mentioning the budget, mea culpa.
Budget: < 1.000 US$
(Note that the US uses a comma as the thousands separator, not a period. ;) )

I have bought Dell 27" UltraSharp 4K monitor literally by the pallet load, and have been very happy. The current models are about $500 (shop around). https://www.cdw.com/product/dell-ultrasharp-u2718q-led-monitor-4k-27/4729246?enkwrd=4729246

I've purchased 30 to 35 of them, and had one infant mortality. (It worked on arrival, but died in the first week.)

Our Apple users just tell OSX that it's a retina display.

I have multiple LG 32UL950-W and they are great.

A couple of things that I don’t like is that you can’t control the volume on the monitor using MacOS controls even when connected via Thunderbolt. The second thing is that coming from the LG Ultrafine 5K displays, the 32” monitors do not get as bright.

If it has to be bigger: check out Dell U4320Q.

It is non-retina so you have a lot of space to work.

In my studio the space between my 2 set of speakers is "only" for a 32" monitor. The acoustics in my studio are calculated and the related treatments are all carefully placed. BTW: I have a very flat frequency response. However, this is not so much "positive", as no one really wants to leave my studio when they listen to the music in it - they all love the sound....me too .

Back to the monitor. So, I cannot implement a bigger monitor. Although it would be great to show the movie to the directors on a bigger screen. Nevertheless, the Dell U4320Q looks cool. Thanks for the hint.

Thanks, I am checking it.

My computer stand is limited to a display that is 21.9" wide, so the largest screen size I can use is 24". I just replaced a 24" 1920x1200 HP HD with an LG 3840x2160 4K (24UD58-B). A very nice monitor. Vibrant, uniform and accurate color. I miss the lost real estate at the bottom of the screen. But, no 4K displays exist with a resolution of 3840X2400 thumbsdown.gif

Also the monitor came with a crap flimsy stand. However, my old monitor used a VESA stand that I was able to retrofit to the LG.

I am driving it with an Aorus RW 5700XT.

Edit - Over time the LG described above turned out to be crap thumbsdown.gif I returned it and replaced it with an LG 24MDKL-B Ultrafine, the one sold by Apple. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for 1387914497.gif

I recommend the Acer Nitro XV273K: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.HX3AA.P02

No fan, IPS,Anti-Glare/Matte, 2 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.0b, 4K up to 120 Hz (144 Hz with two cables), HDR, 10 Bit, 4 Watt speakers, USB-Hub.

Thanks for all the suggestions and recommendations. Finally I have extended my budget and went for a bit more "pro" solution, namely for the Eizo FlexScan EV3285. I am very satisfied with my choice.
