4k Monitor w/ rx 580 in 5.1

I just setup a 4k monitor to go along with my 1080 monitor and it seems to be working fine although I am getting a little bit of lag with my mouse every so often. Is this because of the new monitor or is it unrelated?

I'm using display port for 4k monitor and hdmi for my 1080 monitor.

Check the refresh rate on the 4K monitor

Yep, sounds like 30Hz.
