My question is if you run a 4K monitor on a 2013 Mac Pro do you get super sampling options?

For example, can you run a scaled 5120X2880 desktop on your 4k display (similar to how this is handled on current retina Macs) or does it simply scale up a 2560X1440 and look blurry.

Thanks,

MM

you can, it's called 2560 hidpi mode.

Guys, what looks worse on 4K display? 1080p resolution in application, or higher DPI mode like 2560x1440p scaled from 5120x2880?

I use an app called "Display Menu"

On my 5K it offers blurry 2560x1440 as well as HiDP that looks great. Offers many more res options then Apple does.
