4K video extremely lagging in Safari

hi,

video streaming is very laggy in Safari 17.1 /macbook pro M1)
it is my personal video uploaded to my server.
when I try to watch in safari is terribly laggy. same video in Chrome - smooth and no problem at all.

can someone help ne to solve it?

First... try a DIFFERENT browser.
Is that "laggy", also?

Then... I'd suspect your server.

If the videos run just fine with a different browser, well... keep on using it for video (instead of Safari)...

nope. server is superfast. as I wrote - in Chrome the exactly same video is streaming without any issue. the only problem is Safari.
I would prefer to use Safari, I really don’t like Chrome.
also when I send the link to my client, I don’t want to send him tutorial "how to watch it" 🙂
that’s why I’m trying to find a solution.
