iPhone 4s will not Sync via USB or charge, will charge using 110v AC??? HELP

I don't get it, this happened a few weeks ago, I'm running out of room and need to clear out some stuff tried to plug it into itunes and bingo, nothing. Left it to charge, the thing died. So I've been using the ac charger, car charger doesn't work either, it wont sync or even pop up in itunes, nothing.

I don't know what to do with this paper weight? please help before I get a galaxy s3

Have you verified that the USB port you're using is good? Can you charge anything else on that USB port? Can you sync, transfer data or use any USB peripheral on that USB port?

You're attempting to sync with a car charger? Or was that just a poorly worded sentence?
