Resolved 4TB Ext hard drive showing as 700GB capacitiy

Managed to resolve by creating a small partition, the space returned. Then reverted back the partitioning and have 3.32 TB Free - very weird issue!!

My external LaCie 4TB hard drive is showing as a total size of 700GB in finder however if I go to disk utility, it shows as 4TB

Has anyone seen this sort of thing happen before?

Can you post some pictures showing what you are describing.

Yes As you will see Disk Utility reports 3.99 TB used with 17.34 GB free

System Report shows capacity as 701.74 GB as does Finder
