5.1.1 update issue - all purchased apps will not open

I updated my iphone 4s to 5.1.1 this morning, and throughout the day, fewer and fewer of my purchased apps will open. Now none of them will. I am on the road for a few days so I'll be unable to plug in and troubleshoot on iTunes. I've tried restarting the phone but that only seems to make it worse. Apps that came on the phone (music, YouTube, etc. ) all still work.

Any ideas?

You said you restarted, did you do a hard restart? Holding down the power and menu button? Just making sure we are on the same page. This is weird by the way.

I think I figured it out. I just downloaded another app and all of my previously downloaded apps work again.
