I have a LG 27ML600M monitor that supports 75hz but when I set Mac OS to 75hz in the display settings it looks blurry. If I set it back to 60hz it looks normal. Any ideas on why this is happening? It is a 2010 Mac Pro with the AMD 5770 card.

I tried that it didn't work. I know this cable does 1080p 75hz because I tried it with a windows pc and it works.

What version of macOS are you running?

I'd be curious to know if the problem also occurs in Windows on the same hardware. Is it feasible to install Windows 10 on your Mac Pro for testing purposes?

I am on 10.13 High Sierra. I have a bootcamp partition for Windows 10 and it also lowers the resolution below 720p when set to 75hz so it might be a graphics card limitation. Kind of odd that a MacBook Air 2010 from the same generation could do 75hz no problem.

It appears that this card is limited to 60hz at 1080p. If I wanted 75hz I have to lower the resolution. The same behavior was seen in bootcamp, which confirms it.
