5.1 mail slow on iPad2

Hi,

I thought it best post in the iOS section rather than iPad.

Has anyone else noticed the mail app is much more sluggish to load, respond, and send e-mails since iOS 5.1 upgrade? It's quite annoying.

I am currently using an iPad 2, the person I am e-mailing has noticed the same thing on their iPad. I can't test on my iPhone as it is yet to be updated (also being a 3gs i would hardly notice).

I feel that Mail is quicker on my iPad.

Odd. It's the only app i've noticed to be slower.

I've noticed others saying the email is slower on 5.1. However, it seems faster on my iPad2 and iPhone4 since the update. Safari loads significantly faster too. I'm happy.

Yes I have heard a mix. I notice it is quicker when creating a new mail, but once there have been a few replies it really slows. And this is just a text e-mail, one or two lines of text.

snails are faster

The mail on iOS 5.1 on my iPhone is like pulling teeth on a snail (just made that saying up HA)... took over 1 minute to load the content of one email a while ago.
