Hey all!
I'm wondering if it's at all possible to convince my cMP 5,1 —running Martin Lo's OC build— that Monterey is the newest supported OS and only pull updates for that.
In the troubleshooting section here, it's mentioned this might be accomplished by manually configure some bits in SIP.
Has anybody accomplished this before? I have no need or desire to use Ventura but would still like to get security updates for Monterey without having to download them manually. Also would like to keep my sanity and not have to deal with that annoying Ventura update badge popping up.
Thanks so much!

No Updates
Make sure that SIP is enabled. Two bits in SIP specifically cause issues:
- CSR_ALLOW_APPLE_INTERNAL (Bit 4 = 0x10)
- Prevents updates appearing at all
- CSR_ALLOW_UNAUTHENTICATED_ROOT (Bit 11 = 0x800)
- Prevents incremental OTA updates
