5.1 SIRI...does it seems better to you also?

The 5.1 upgrade went smoothly, just connected to iTunes and did the upgrade.

It has been not long enough, but SIRI appears snappier, and more accurate to me than before.

By this I mean it handles long complex sentences well with no, or very small mistakes...also the return seems quicker.

Anyone else notice this?

I agree, I mentioned in another thread that I feel her voice is smoother and she uses more tones (especially when she asks you questions eg. "would you like me to send it?" ,,,,,,,or perhaps its just me imagining it! hahaha. There do seem to be improvements made, but then again, sometimes she works, sometimes not...

hmmm, i'm not sure about siri, but the dictation on the keyboard is still messing up just as bad as it was before. About 90% of the time i try to dictate something for a text message, i get the 3 purple dots then they shake and go away.

or i just LOVE it when i hit the microphone button and 1 second later it stops listening like i hit the done button.

That happens about every 10th time i try to dictate something too.

My first impression was that Siri was less accurate and had a harder time understanding me but it's possible my accent was just a little heavier than normal.

You can change it to the female voice by selecting Language to English (United States)

Better as in it actually works now. Before 5.1 I always got that "I'm sorry" error message. Now it works all the time

Does changing the voice to USA affect anything else? Eg the way it recognised your voice?

I just don't know why they went with a male voice here... it's just not right! lol

Mine seems better also. Bit quicker and understands what I'm saying more.

Dictation is where I noticed the big change. I said something and it nailed it the first time. I think they released an update to the recognition before the iPad releases.
