I know with the betas people had airplay mirroring working but with the final 5.1 update released has anyone confirmed it still works with Mountain Lion?

I'm curious about how exactly Airplay mirroring works with an i7 MacBook Air when mountain lion is released...

Forgive my ignorance in terms but when you say "airplay mirroring" that means that what ever you see on the laptop screen is showing on the tv screen correct? I want to get the Apple TV to display the computer screen and use it as a large monitor without a lot of cables.
Thanks

The TV will display exactly what you have on your computer (you can choose which resolution you want both to use).

You unfortunately can't use the TV as a screen extension, though I hope they add in this functionality at some point
