I decided to set up a Sierra boot SSD from a partial clone of my Sierra spinner and parking my main boot SSD with High Sierra beta 2.

While using it, the system is stable as long as I do not use the USB 3 ports on the CalDigit FASTA cards. I can live with that.

But the inability to sleep and 3 min plus boot times are just not acceptable. Hope the eventually get that fixed in the next release.

Running a bunch of sysdiagnose right now for the bug reports.

If you mean 3 min boot time in HS on a SSD, disable TRIM can fix it.
