5$ for EVE Online: Steam special

Old thread I know.
Eve was recently 5 bucks again during the steam sale and I picked it up.
I am not going to install it until I read up on it a bit more so I don't go in as too much of a noob.
Any idea how well it'll run on the mac in my sig?

Uh...I think the $5 deal was for the holidays.

But anyways the purchase should be for the account. The client itself can be downloaded from the EVE site, Mac or Windows. Steam might have a redirect or something...or they just provide another copy.

it was for the holidays, that's when I picked it up.

what i did was this, I got someone to invite me with a 21day trial. than when that runs out i'm going to "add" my steam bought account for a total of 51 days for 5 bucks.
that should give me enough time to figure it out.

Are you sure? I thought there's a difference between buying a new account and buying "time" for any already existing account.
