50,000 mini files strman_... in MS office apps

Hi,
by coincidence I discovered an insane number of strman_... files (all a few hundred bytes of size) sitting in Word/Excel Resources. They look like some garbled text. Is it necessary to keep these 50,000 entities? What are they in the first place? They are also choking my backups always after an office update.

I'd just exclude the apps themselves from your backup. Deleting files from within the applications will likely cause them not to run, so you can't delete them.
