Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a 500 GB internal hard drive yet?
I have heard some rumours saying that they should be release soon.

yes, you can buy a 500gb internal hd that will fit in some laptops, but not the macbook pro. look for a (realistically) later 2008 release.

I believe the Samsung Spinpoint M6 500GB drive is out at the cost of $300. It is 9.5 mm so it should fit the MacBook Pro. Hitachi and Fujitsui have 500GB drives too but they are 2.5

Yeah it looks pretty neat and perfect for a mac notebook I was just about to buy the 320 GB from WD but this is way better.
