You aren't close to 256, so that is still plenty for you. But to answer, 512 will hold every tic Tok you can make in a year.

Yes. Given the information you’ve shared, even with app storage and all of the video work you plan to do, you should be well under 512gb especially if you upgrade annually.
I will take that what my phone says about my storage.

I was leaning towards 1TB but I don't think I will use it at all I was something that won't make me go back and fourth for storage.

From the details you’ve shared, it sounds like 512GB is enough. Besides, you can always upgrade to 1TB next year if 512GB starts feeling too low.

I would say go with 512 gb this time around. I have 1tb 14PM but going to downsize to 512gb for the 15 pm as Im only using 150 gb and not sure why I spent a lot on it when it’s unnecessary. I might be okay with 256 gb but id only have 100 gb left to use.

I currently have the 14 Pro Max with only 50gb available out of 256GB. I also use 2 TB of iCloud.

I wonder if I should upgrade to only 512 GB or 1 TB. Most of storage is coming from Apple Music 67GB, Spotify 30GB, and Audible 11GB.

What are your thoughts?

If you keep your devices for a long time go with 1TB.

I used to upgrade every year, but as each year I find diminishing returns, I'm currently on a 12 Pro Max. I ran the same calculation you did.... I started with looking at usage on my current 256GB model. I then assume that the new phone will need more storage due to higher resolution photos/videos etc, and figure in that I'll probably keep my phone for 3 years. Due I need to assume that there will be app inflation over those 3 years.

My current usage has 68GB available out of my 256. For me that means 512 should be plenty. I also pretty much offload most things to the cloud, but I do like to load movies for long flights as well as offline maps. I will also be taking lots of 4K videos at my kids' events which may temporarily take up significant storage till they are offloaded to the cloud.

Apps get bigger.

I have the 14PM 1TB and turns out it was overkill for me since I use it primarily to store my photos. With my 2TB iCloud plan, I am going for 512GB.

I have a 11ProMax with 256GB. And I have filled it up already a few times - have to then sit down and delete a bunch of stuff (usually videos). Sucks. So this time I just decided to go straight for 1TB. I keep my phones 4-5 years so the $200 extra, at $50 a year (for the expected years of ownership) seems totally worth it.
