Well laptop is for portability at UNI + Game performance and the imac will be just for at home in my UNI room, for browsing, light games, and just light stuff. I really want leopard/mac. I think they are great. its just when you see such a good laptop, you cant ignore it. (1GB Graphics 2.6 GHZ, 640 GB HDD, 4GB DDR3 RAM).
Its just a really good windows laptop (HP) AND a cheap low end iMac. The high end imac will be the same price as both combined .... but still i need a laptop on top of all that.
well the iMac will be GREAT for all your needs then apart from gaming (the 9400M isnt a graphics card, just a chip) - its still pretty decent at gaming dont get me wrong. just dont expect to be running the latest games at high settings.
i feel as though you are doubling up.. imac CPU = 2.66GHz and your laptop CPU = 2.6GHz, HD space is halved in the iMac compared to the laptop, RAM is halved, GPU will not match against it at all... are you sure you want to double up??
well what else can i do? i want a mac and a laptop .... but a decent laptop at not a high price?
120GT = 9800GT, 9800GT = higher clocked 8800GT. soo judge that for yourself..
will EASILY handle games on low settings, will handle most on high.
The GT 120 is not as fast as the 8800M GTS and therefore could not equal a 9800M GT. The GT 130 is a bit faster than the 8800M GTS because it is a 9800M GTS.
The 4850 is much faster than all.
hmm maybe the GT120 = the 9600 then?? GT130 = 9800?? always get them mixed up i wish they wouldnt friggen change names so much
Well the desktop GT 120 is a bit faster than the Mobility 2600 in the iMac so I'm guessing the 9600M GT estimate isn't too far off for the iMac GT 120.
