I recently purchased Apple's ATI 5770 video card and installed it in my Mac Pro 3,1.

I am getting terrible benchmarks and noticed the PCI-E Lane Width is only x1 instead of x16.

Is there anything I can do to make them x16? I'm running OS X 10.7.4.

Here are some screenshots

It's strange seeing 2 cards listed in the PCI section, with one having the driver installed reading "no"… I only have one 5770 card listed on my Mac Pro 5,1 system profiler.

It is probably dirty contacts in slot 1 or something like that. It dont think that connections on slot 1 are faulty.

For argument sake, 5870 in my MP 3.1, this is PCI cards section:

So, what exactly is ATY,Langur....I think it is framebuffer, and why it is on the PCI card list I dont know.

I order that card today for my 3,1

on macconnection.com some minutes ago:

Subtotal: $229.00
Shipping & Handling: Best Way - Ground $0.00
