5770 upgrade for my 2009 Mac Pro Mistake?

I picked up a 5770 for my Mac Pro on eBay. However, I was looking around and it seems like it is pretty easy to get an even better video card in your mac pro. My main requirement was 2 ports for mini display ports, and I hope that it last me for a while.

Are there any sub $200 video cards that would be much better than the 5770?

Not that I know of. Anything better (other than the 5870) will require hacks.

Not sure what you mean by this, as far as I know, the best video card you can get in a Mac Pro at the moment is a 5870, however the 5770 is no slouch either. What is it you do that requires a high end video card? I just got a used Mac 5770 on Ebay and paid around $250 for it, which is close to retail, but as far as I am concerned, I'd rather buy a Mac card then a PC card and flash it, not knowing the repercussions of doing so.
