Hi All

I have the late 2015 iMac and I purchased the trackpad with it. In the last few days the force click doesn’t work. First I tried rebooting, didn’t make a difference, then tried doing the smc and ram reset, that didn’t work. Created another user account, that didn’t work. Updated to high sierra, that didn’t work. I have since done a clean install and the force click on the trackpad still doesn’t work Just wondering is there anything else I can try before I contact Apple on Monday.

Thanks!

Just playing the role of "Captain Obvious"... but has the charge on the trackpad run down? Is it still paired with your iMac? (System Preferences > BlueTooth).

Check the settings for the trackpad in System Preferences > Trackpad ... make sure Force Click and haptic feedback are enabled.

I have the same set up and no issues here.

It has full charge, it is still paired and the settings have it enabled. I just don’t know what else to try

It can happen the little rubber 'feet' compress and do not allow sufficient movement. Replacements are a few bucks on eBay.

When I used that trackpad, had problems in very humid weather with keeping the pad clean. Moist fingers can build up dirct very quickly.
