Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong thread but I need some quick advice. I have a 16gb 5s that is in decent shape, maybe 6 or 7/10. I have been wanting to get my hands on a nexus 5, I already have a nexus 7 but am trying to sell that. I found someone in craigslist willing to trade a 32 nexus 5 in 9/10 condition for my 5s. Do you think this is a good deal?
I would probably keep the n5 until octoberish when I will be able to upgrade, maybe a iPhone 6 or note 4. Otherwise I would hold into this iPhone until then.

Just looking for some opinions, I'm leaning towards doing it!

Hmm yikes....I would guess a 16GB 5S, even in somewhat used condition, could still fetch near $400+. I bought my brand new unopened 16GB Nexus 5 from a poster here for $275 shipped.

Tough call. I probably wouldn't do it, but if you're going to upgrade in October why not?

EDIT: Ya just a quick glance on eBay and I'm seeing various 5S's for $450 and on up through the $500 range. Probably best to either sell and buy a used Nexus 5. You'd make some money that way. Or you could trade your 5S for the Nexus 5 and $100-$150.

Depends if you're tired of the iPhone and want to try something new.

Maybe the guy could add some money to the trade?

Personally, I would do it, just because I prefer Android much more than iOS.

I traded my 5s for a Nexus 5 recently. I could have gotten some money on top but I didn't feel like selling it, shipping it, buying the nexus 5, waiting for it, etc. Plus I didn't have a phone to use in the interim.

The Nexus 5 is a great phone. The trade probably favors the one receiving the iPhone more than vice versa, but not outrageously so.

I'm using an N5 full time presently and I'm pretty happy.

Are you glad you did it?

I'm picking up a new nexus 5 tomorrow for $275. A steal IMO. Want to compare it's against my S5.
