5s to 7 camera: good upgrade?

Looking to upgrade my 5s to a 7 (not the plus version). Usually the camera performance would improve with each version, but I came across this:

So now I'm not so sure. I have no interest in shooting raw; the whole point of camera phones for me is for quick snapshots, so I want to take a picture and leave it.

What do you 7 owners think - is the camera performance superior to previous versions of iPhone?

PS Upgrading to the 8 is not an option due to finances.

Yes!! I can confirm 100% the camera is a massive improvement! The quality of the picture is clear to see and the screen as well helps when viewing the pictures.

I just found that it would take more effort to get a decent picture on the 5S.
