Hey Guys,

Im going on a 6 Hour flight for a holiday and im thinking of a good game to play on my 15" MBP, now this only uses the Mac OS no bootcamp here im afraid. Now also because this is the 15" and the crappy plane seats no way could i use a mouse as well it will be to big lol, so im trying to think of some quality Keyboard only/limited mouse use games?

Any ideas?

Age of Empires 3. It's quite hard to recommend any specific game as you didn't give any idea of what game do you like. If you like medieval strategy, then AoE is a great game

I think AoE would be a pain to play with limited mouse. OP might check out Steam and see if there are any games on there that are of interest. Something like Machinarium or Puzzle Agent. That uses a mouse but isn't real time.

I don't think so. Of course it's better with a real mouse but since it doesn't require very fast action, it should be playable with a trackpad. I used to play the original AoE on a laptop with 2x2cm trackpad back in the days :p

Another game that came to my mind is Sims 3, it's quite easy to play with trackpad

Civilization 4

Plus one more.

Although I spent 10 years commuting twice a week on up to a 4 hour flight and used to get in a few hours of Diablo II with the trackpad.

But best was always original Civ, Civ II, Civ III, Civ III Complete and then Civ IV (by then on my 17" PBG4). Had Civ CTP too, hated it. You could look into emulation and some of the older Civ games if you want to do it all for free.

None of the AoE / AoM games worked well with a trackpad - I tried them, I loved original AoE on my desktop - neither did the SimCity games, I tried them too. Even the Myst series got annoying with the trackpad after 20 minutes or so.

Take a little educational stuff too, ie. if you like to program, take something that's been on the ToDo list for a while, just to give you a break from Civ, fi you need it.

Uhmmmm, I would recommend Age of Empires3 too. I love every version of this great game so much.
