6 Mac Minis as render farm/ srever

At my office we have 6 Mac Minis maxed out, latest model, same aspects.

Is there a way to make them work all as one machine for render or any sort of operation? As having just one computer for any sort of use but they are actually 6.

I know it's possible as we use Minis for a render farm at my job. I'll ask our IT department what it took to setup.
