Although most of the new MBP drivers are automatically installed with Vista, some folks on this forum and elsewhere on the net imply that the remaining drivers can be found on the net. Anyone find x64 drivers for the iSight, audio or wireless networking?

Device mangager lists devices without drivers as follows...

Network Controller (wireless internet?)
Location Information = PCI bus 3, device 0, function 0
Physical Device Object Name = \Device\NTPNP_PCI0019
Bus type Guid = {c8ebdfb0-b510-11d0-80e5-00a0c92542e3}

Performance Counters (?)
Location Information = PCI bus 0, device 7, function 0
Physical Device Object Name = \Device\NTPNP_PCI0002
Bus type Guid = {c8ebdfb0-b510-11d0-80e5-00a0c92542e3}

Unknown Device (?)
Location Information = Port_#0004.Hub_#0005
Physical Device Object Name = \Device\USBPDO-6
Bus type Guid = {9d7debbc-c85d-11d1-9eb4-006008c3a19a}

Any recommendations? I have already disabled the signed driver requirement.

I was wondering this myself. I'm going to search the net and I'll post here what I find.

I'm afraid to say that I haven't found the WiFi drivers for the MBP under Vista x64. Therefore, I think I have to go with Vista x86. I'm going to delete Vista x64 today and try again another time when I get drivers.

not to say that this can't be done (you're obviously doing it), but Apple's BootCamp doesn't support Vista yet and it'd be a better idea to wait for it's final release if you're using Parallels. just a word of caution.

Agreed. Vista final (I am an MSDN subscriber) installed and runs perfectly fine on the MBP under Boot Camp. It was very easy to install. The only issue is that the version I have is the 64-bit version, and drivers for it are hard to find. By the end of lunchtime today, I'll have Vista x86 back on the MBP, and I know that the necessary drivers already exist for it.

wireless chipset - Atheros AR5008 802.11n

I am surprised at how difficult these drivers are to locate considering that x64 drivers have been shipping with Windows Server for three years. I don't need draft-n drivers. Anything that would work with the AR5008 would do.

I have both x64 and x32 (x86) installed right now and would really like to get down to one.

Has anyone successfully found any WiFi drivers for Vista 64 on a MacBookPro yet? I'm still coming up dry. Except for Bluetooth, WiFi and iSight everything else seems to be running dandy. Although the Display Settings window pops up every time I start up for some reason. Running RC1.
