I purchased a copy of Windows XP 64-Bit Edition back when I built my most recent computer for my own personal use. It costed me about $200, and I had to beat the crap out of the OS to be able to run the programs I wanted to. But, it did finally work and I have no complaints about it.

I have an urge to install that copy of Windows onto my Macbook Pro in order to play Age of Conan, or make use of my lifetime subscription to Lord of the Rings Online. Would it be feasible to do so? Will the drivers for Boot Camp work with 64-bit XP? Or upon installing it, will my Macbook Pro have a seizure?

You can install 64bit windows XP. I have done it on many occassions. The trick is to use the 64 bit drives on the disk. You'll have to install them 1 by 1 since the BootCamp64.msi thinks your running Windows Server 2003.

As I'm sure you're already aware, XP 64 is a joke. See here:

On the flip side, I've been running Age of Conan on Vista 64 and it has been nothing but awesome.
