Hi All:

Would a PCI video card with 128 mbs of ram be better than an AGP video card with 64 mbs of ram? This is in reference to gaming.

There are many other specs on a video card that are more important than video RAM when it comes to gaming. What two video cards are you trying to compare?

64 mb vram agp vs. 128 mb vram pci

My current system is:

G4 Digital Audio/ upgraded 1.2 GHz/2MB L3/1 GB SDRAM/ATI VGA PCI 32 MB/ATY, PCI RADEOM 32 MB/ATY, AGP Rage128Pro 16MB

I am currently looking at buying a Radeon 9600 Pro (adapted for the older G4's)64 MB/Radeon 9000 AGP 64 MB or a Radeon 9200 PCI 128 PCI.

:)

I went ahead a ordered the 9600 Pro @ $85.00 2 day shipping from OWC
I'm guessing the 9600 is the better of the 3.
