6630M/Lion Mouse problem?

So I just got my mini today, 2.7Ghz i7 with 6630M, and I'm waiting to get my intel SSD and 8GB RAM to install them, but I noticed a small problem.

Mouse movement in Lion is not "Smooth". It's kind of jerking.

On the EFI boot screen (If I press option to choose my OS) and in Windows it's perfect, as in smooth as butter, but in Lion it's not...

I tried all resolutions, native is 1600x900, but it does not make any difference.

Since it only happen in Lion, I'm guessing OS/Drivers problem, but is it happening to anyone else?

BTW, it happen with both my magic trackpad and microsoft mouse.

Edit: All Lion's animation are fluid/Smooth, it just the mouse
 
I have the 2.5GHz i5 model with the 6630M and I use the Magic Trackpad. I am running a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 and I have not had any issues like this. Mouse is smooth as is the swiping/scrolling animations.

Ok, I don't get it...

I tried it on my TV (1920x1080): Smooth as butter

I then borrowed a friend's monitor, 1080p too, same thing, smooth, even if I put the resolution the same as my screen (1600x900)

I then put back my screen, stutter comes back again....

Weird, but the source of my problem seems to be my screen :eek:

Oh well, it's almost due for an upgrade anyway...
 
Tried playing a video yet? Lion's animations may be smooth because they're all short and quick, if there's some issue beyond the mouse it should show up if you play a video I would think.

Does the Displays prefpane show any options you could mess with like refresh rate?
 
same here

my mouse and trackback both stuttering - worst in Safari. Comes and goes and quitting and restarting can help. not messed with any settings to try to find cause. 2009 Nov. 27 inch IMac
 
Mouse and no display?

My mini server has no display and I connect to it through ARD but I can't do any of the touch gestures through ARD since they are interpreted as commands for my MBP. So, I thought to connect a magic mouse to the mini with BT. Problem is that it connects but does not move the mouse when viewing through ARD. Does the mouse not work without a display connected?

I connected to my Lion machine with Screen Sharing and noticed the mouse can be inconsistent, like it seemed like it gave up control to the remote mouse sometimes, but other times the local mouse worked fine (albeit slow/delayed cause the remote connection), so you might just be seeing that weird quirk.

I just got my i7 and i notice when i drag windows around they tend to jump all over the place.

i7 dual Core /w Wireless trackpad and keyboard
 
I am also having issues with my BT magic mouse and my new i7 mini. The mouse has good batteries approx 70% and is on the same surface I have been using it one with my 09 mini and SL without issue.

Now the mouse seems to lag, the tracking isnt as smooth, and sometimes it appears to incorrectly detect input.

This is on a fresh install of Lion via the internet recovery method. Aside from chrome and firefox, nothing else has been installed.
 
Sure it's on the mouse pad surface, and just to weed out any "stupid" questions, is you're using the SAME MOUSE for all the different monitor tests, right? :D
 
So after reading many threads online with the same issues suggesting mousezoom and other "fixes" I noticed a pattern. Most of the issues that seemed similar to mine involved multiple monitors. I rebooted my mini with one monitor and the mouse worked fine. Plugged them back in and the problem returned, but on the reboot I noticed the monitor I had set as the secondary was the one that displaying the apple logo during the boot sequence. I switched HDMI/MiniDP ports around and rebooted, this time the apple logo appeared on the monitor I set as the primary and the mouse started working perfectly once again.

Nothing else has changed with the machine. To any of you mini owners with crappy mouse accuracy and multiple monitors, verify that the monitor you set as primary in the OS is the same one that displays the apple logo on boot and see if that improves mouse tracking/accuracy. Post back here with results!
 
I fixed it by installing SwitchResX and recreating the same resolution (1600x900) with different timing, and blam it work!
 
I have the same problem.... Trackpad is already on order for this very reason.

Especially from 8 feet distance the 'jerkyness' makes it unbearable
