is this available for download or is it a developer thing? Not that I really care, Jaguar makes me happy as it is.:)

However, that .1 could change a :) to a :D

6D50 10.2.1 is out

I just got a copy of it, and I heard its the final, but I also heard that there were hints of another smaller seed to be pushed out, which will be 6D52, so who knows, anyways, I'll put up a pic soon

Can you post a list of the changes (ie the description that will appear software update)?

Hm, the document number isn't valid anymore. Looks like they may have taken it down.

All I care about is if my Sonnet Tempo ATA/100 controller will work with this update! I paid $80 for it only to have it sit on my shelf because it crashes 10.2.

Dear voyagerd

To be honest, I can't see exactly which build it is. Build 6D42 also showed Mac OS X 10.2.1 in the "About this Mac" window.
Could you please klik on the "Version 10.2.1" to show wich build you have installed?

Tnx.

heh, i never know that you could click on it.

The installer says this:
The 10.2.1 Update delivers enhancements and improvements to the following applications, technologies and components: Mail, Image Capture, Help Viewer, graphics, printing, networking, Rendezvous, Kerberos, USB, FireWire, SCSI device compatibility and includes additional Digital Hub peripheral device support.

I'm not sure what it does, but I've seen it on regular 10.2 and 10.2 Server prior to your discovery.

What's the word from those of you who have tried the 10.2.1 updates? Is it worth the trouble to go find these things? Do they allow for future updates?

thanks

the i request attention thing is a remote desktop feature. and it is very annoying. if you command pull it out of the menubar it will just reappear later. grrr ive been hating that thing since it showed up [10.2.0].

Is Apple going to force us all to pay full price in order to upgrade Jaguar to 10.2.1? (Sorry, couldn't resist! ..................... )

Seriously, though ... does anyone have any idea when this will be offered as an official update d/l from Apple? I am curious about what the improvements are with USB and Firewire.

Speed

I heard 10.2.0 didn't take full advantage of quartz extreme, but that this would be fixed in 10.2.1 to deliver better performance. Is there a performance improvement?

I highly doubt it. I'm sure it'll just be a free download like the previous 10.1 updates.

Sorry for my previous post, I was unaware you were being facetious until after I posted.:)

There are some people on this board who have said much dumber things and were not joking..."What is the X for?"...:D
