iPod 6Gen iPod Classic & Firewire Charger?

Hi

I'm considering a 80Gb iPod Classic.

I know that Apple dropped Firewire from their iPods some time ago, but would I be able to charge a new iPod Classic using the Firewire Charger & Cable from my old 4th Gen iPod?

Oh, and whilst I'm on the subject, will the iPod Classic fit in my old 4th Gen Dock?

I think you can charge by Firewire but not sync anything to the iPod.
