Well, my battery is now worse than ever and safari keeps freezing. In addition iOS keeps saying my phone is full even though it also says I hv 3gb of spare space.

I literally dread updating my phone now as it seems everytime I do it gets worse and worse. Oh yeh and the charger I use(official plug) is now not supported apparently(this literally happens to my chargers every update).

Anyways I’m sure I’ll be soon told I’m imagining it all and it’s only my phone affected.

Goodnight

Perhaps there's something with the charging port on the phone? Have you tried cleaning it? Maybe another cable that you can try?

Battery isn't something to really go by in the first few days after an update, usually after that it's a better indicator of what's typical. As far as Safari, you might try clearing data and cache to see if that helps. Perhaps seeing if there might be something related to any content blocker, in case that might be used.

Space is something that can be somewhat odd. I have it where once things drop to below 3 GB or so it also complains about being out of space. Either some reporting isn't quite accurate and there really is less free space than what's being reported, or iOS is reporting on it earlier because it knows it needs about 10% or so of headroom to operate normally (sometimes things can glitch or slow down when there isn't much space left too).

I updated my 6S yeterday and haven’t encountered any of the issues you’re experiencing.. Air2 and X are behaving normally also.. You might try to restore your phone using iTunes and set up as new to see if it helps. Of course make a backup so if it doesn’t change anything you can return it to it’s current setup.

Thanks guys

Im hoping battery will get better so will see. Charging port, I’m sure there is something in these updates that targets certain models in certain countries, yes a conspiracy as I always know when an update is coming because 4 days prior I start getting those errors messages, literally everytime!

As for Safari and space yes maybe a restore might fix it, I’ll try

Thanks guys

i also have a 6s so am always interested in this question when a new update comes available.

i did update to iOS12.1.3 today.

battery: it generally takes about 2 days of usage to really determine what an update does to battery levels. so can't tell yet.

i paid for the internal battery replacement using my own money long before apple instituted a formal battery replacement program for the 6 and 6s. and was glad i did it.
for the 1st time ever, about 3 days ago, my phone gave the warning message that it was throttling speed to avoid a sudden shutdown due to battery level. at that time, it allows the user to either stay with a throttled speed, or, turn off the throttle and risk a shutdown due to excessive battery level drop. i decided to turn off throttling.

non-battery: a great update. nothing is slower or faster.
my 6s is running just as quick now as it ever did, even in 2015 when i bought it.
meaning: its running well on this latest update.

i think today's macOS and iOS updates contain significant security updates.

i also think that apple is doing a great job in macOS Mojave and iOS 12 working well with each other to ensure consistency in core services of iCloud and Continuity, etc.
