Hey guys, my 6s goes from 100% to 30% in thirty minutes when exposed to cold temperature, it happens but extremely rarely. How is that possible? Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
[doublepost=1510294064][/doublepost]Just found my answer in similar threads after i posted. Sorry I'm new to this site.
[doublepost=1510294165][/doublepost]Is there a phone that operates in cold temperatures that won't drain battery life? I was thinking about getting the cat s41, not sure.

Cold weather and batteries just don't mix well. That said, a weaker battery will suffer this more than a battery that can maintain it's full theoretical charge capacity. If your battery is already more than a year old, then it may just be weak.

Download either [http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutbattery/|coconutBattery] (Mac) or [http://www.3u.com|3uTools] (Windows) to see the battery condition. If it's less than 70-80% of its design capacity, you should consider having it replaced.

I had a similar issue with my 6S. It drained battery (especially in cold weather) extremely fast and it shut down even though I still had ~20% left.

In fact there is an free battery replacement program for those iPhones effected.
Check your serial number here: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/

They replaced my battery and it fixed this problem for me.
