When I make a call via Hey Siri, isn't it supposed to automatically turn on the speakerphone. She even says so but doesn't do it.

For example, when I say: Hey Siri, call Amy

She says: Calling Amy with speakerphone

But it doesn't turn on the speaker.

Anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT:

Finally figured out the problem and I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

It doesn't work with Wi-Fi Calling enabled. Works fine without it.

Seems to be working fine here.

If you don't mind, can you check to see if you have "Call Audio Routing" set to "Automatic" or "Speaker"?

It's in Settings --> General --> Accessibility (about half-way down).

Why do you have to go to the store to reset/restore? You can reset from the menu and restore from iCloud, no?

From what I understand, iCloud doesn't backup and restore everything.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204136

iCloud backups don't include:

  • Data that's already stored in the cloud, like contacts, calendars, notes, My Photo Stream, and iCloud Photo Library
  • Data stored in other cloud services, like Gmail and Exchange mail
  • Apple Pay information and settings
  • Touch ID settings
  • Content you didn't get directly from iTunes, App, or iBooks Stores, like imported MP3s, videos, or CDs
  • iTunes in the Cloud and App Store content (If it's still available in the iTunes, App, or iBooks Store, you can tap to re-download your already purchased content.)

For some reason, it doesn't work with Wi-Fi Calling enabled. Works fine without it.
